Makalu Series
The VINZ Makalu series is a solid (chain) lock with a tough look that offers excellent protection against theft of two-wheelers. The lock features a sturdy and striking yellow/black lock body and a robust, heavy chain made of hardened steel. The Makalu is available in various lengths.
With the VINZ Makalu, two-wheelers can easily be secured to a fixed object, for example a lamppost or a wall/ground anchor. In this way a two-wheeler cannot be lifted, which reduces the risk of theft.
The heavy, solid Makalu chain is 42 mm thick and has a link thickness of 11 mm. In addition, the chain is fitted with a sturdy protective sleeve to prevent paint damage. The lock body has a closable keyhole, making it hard for rain, dirt and dust to accumulate. This benefits the lock’s lifespan!
The Makalu series is ART 4 certified. This means the Makalu is suitable for most theft insurance policies for two-wheelers (bicycles, mopeds, scooters and motorcycles). The Makalu’s Security Index is 15/16, the second-highest score.
